Michael GoveWe are delighted that Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and MP for Surrey Heath has been our patron for a number of years

With Michael’s well-known support of charity work, his concern for world poverty, and his achievements as Secretary of State for Education, we very much welcome his participation in the work of Children of the Dump – Manila.

Michael commented:

“I am extremely pleased to accept this patronage and wish this Surrey-based Charity every success in its continuing work. Its record in providing much-needed care, education and social welfare to some of the most deserving young people is enviable. This is why I am so proud to have been asked to get involved.”

We are delighted that Nathan Dyer a premiership footballer at Swansea City is a patron for our charity.

With Nathan’s achievements as a top flight sports person and his public profile, this will reach people from all walks of life through his sport.  We welcome his participation in the work of Children of the Dump

Nathan told us

“I first heard about Children of the Dump when my wife’s uncle joined Children of the Dump as Charity Manager. He had described to me the work that both Children of the Dump and ASCF provide for children in Manila. It brought home to me just how fortunate a position I am in to be able to provide for the daily needs of my son, who is the same age as many of the children that the Charity cares for.  I felt privileged to be asked to act as a Patron for Children of the Dump, and will hopefully be able to promote the Charity and the work that is provided by the Charity through education and care for over three hundred children”.
