Children of the Dump in the UK is the operating name of Asian Students Christian Trust (ASCT) with a sister charity in Manila called Asian Students Christian Foundation (ASCF) who deliver the projects
Children of the Dump is the fund raising and publicity arm of the charity that sets strategic direction and raises funds for the operational and development costs of the dependent Philippine foundation. Children of the Dump agrees budgets with ASCF and has an overall responsibility on all areas of important policy.
Children of the Dump is registered as ASCT as an England charity and provides about 90% of the running costs of the services in the Philippines.
ASCF are registered in the Philippines and have their own board of trustees who are responsible for the day to day delivery and quality of the services in the Philippines.
Our annual turnover is less than £200,000, and we have a personal relationship with most of our donors. We can also demonstrate that we know where every penny is spent, with over 80p in every pound going directly to the projects in Manila.
